Blending cultures by using music, sports and arts project aims at motivating the twenty students , aged 16-19, of the Cyprus school "Lykeio Archbishop Makarios C" and the twenty students , aged 16-19, of the Italian school "Istituto Tecnico Statale "E.Fermi" learn the partner school's language and culture. Students at both schools will attend special lessons to learn the basic vocabulary and everyday expressions of the Greek and Italian languages. They will get acquainted with the traditional music and games of the partner school and through questionnaires discover the kinds of music, sports and activities (events, crafts, paintings etc) students prefer today and how they benefit by listening, participating or watching.They will integrate project activities into the schools' curriculum by creating material targeting to foreign language classes. Also at the creation of videos/powerpoint presentations, articles, exhibitions to present the project to school and public, a glossary (dictionary and everyday expressions in Greek,Italian and English) in oral and written form, a calendar, a website and the composition of music based on traditional music. The project work will be greatly based on the use of ICT tools.
