STEPS TO IMPROVE THE ENVIRONMENT

This project will support initiatives in Environmental Education and aims to improve the ecology and increase people’s awareness of environmental problems, their natural heritage; and look at similarities and differences between European countries. All teachers and students from seven different countries (Cyprus, Finland, Portugal and Spain) will offer alternative methods of sustainable development by encouraging individuals to modify their everyday habits at home and at school, as European citizens. The working language will be English, either as the mother tongue or as a foreign language.
The 4 countries will establish firm friendships and partnerships with students and teachers in institutions across Europe by engaging in regular communicationthrough the use of several ICT tools such as Skype, Google Earth, a website, a Moodle platform, etwinning portal, emails, exchange of photographs and pictures and through school visits. They will benefit from the experience of face to face meetings with other European people to look at the differences and realities of other European countries.
