1989 and the consequences

eTwinning

The students should deal with the happenings of 1989, search for information and become aware of the importance of what happened in that year for Europe and democracy. We will specifically concentrate on events in the Czech Republic and will search for eye witnesses to interview and to find peopleĀ“s reactions in Austria as well. The students shall get an idea of how impor-tant it is to live in a democracy and to get involved in order to preserve democracy. The class that will go in for the project is now involved in a project about the Prague Spring. We have a Czech Comenius 2 assistant at school at the moment who will tell them about the topic, so that they can have a really authentic view and get motivated by a native.
