ICT 4 Interculturality, Citizenship and Teamwork

“I.C.T. project aims at developing pupils' awareness to language and culture diversity and enriching their experiential repertoire through a range of actions, within a collaborative approach, to discover, explore and appreciate other cultural practices and perspectives. This project supports ICT Comenius project as it will provide all the partners the necessary tools to access the project twinspace where the support materials and project products will be posted and to participate in discussion forums. 2009/2010 will be dedicated ‘to build/strengthen a healthy ground for collaborative work.’ Students will get to know each by exchanging email, sharing introduction videos, exchanging Christmas greeting and Christmas recipes to be displayed in each school (Christmas in Europe). We will work on deconstructing stereotypes through various interactive tasks (word association, eliciting images). An Intercultural Quiz and cartoons displaying and criticizing stereotyped images of the partners’ countries will be created for an Exhibition. Year 2010/2011: Research on social rules in the context of family, friends circle and school will be held and the results analysed and compared. An advertisement for a campaign against violence/ bullying will be organised and a shared motion, resulting from a discussion among the partners schools, will be created.”
