IN THE CLASS...

Children spend a lot of time at school. This is the place where they learn how to behave and cooperate in the group. But it ofen happens that different problems can occur during the lesson or break.

Let's try to find the way how to cope with them.

Our friends from Navas have sent us a film showing an example of impolite behaviour in the class. Let's watch it together:

While watching it we realized that the problem of laughing at the others seems to be very frequent at schools in many countries. Listen to our opinions about it. We are going to discuss the teacher's role,  the position of Mohamed and the role of his schoolmates.

Now we are presenting two different models of behaviour to show the solution to this problem. We must remember that we always have a CHOICE and our behaviour depends mostly on us.

Which way would you choose?

Conclusions

Everyone is different

Do you imagine how the world would look like

if we were the same ones?

Fortunately we are not

Be tolerant, understand and accept that:

we have different intellectual possibilities

some of us learn better, some - worse

some of us are stronger, some – weaker

we have different appearance

we have different speaking style and  pronunciation

we wear different clothes

we have different interests

But all these things are not the reasons to laugh at

the others and isolate them

Remember!

Nobody is ideal - even you

The best thing you can do is asking yourself

if you always behave proper at school?

If yes – congratulations

If not – make an improvement on your behavior

TEAM WORK

We are the students from Sant Josep school, Navàs.

Our friends from Poland sent us a common situation that occurs sometimes while we are working in groups in the class: someone is not accepted in the group.

What can we do?

what about the teacher's role?

and the rest of the students?

Which is your opinion?

Let's watch the video and you will see how our Catalan friends tried to solve the situation.

Here we have some questions to think about:

- When do you feel better, when you are treated with positive messages or when you recieve negatives all the time?

- Do you think that our friendship will increase if we are treated properly between ourselves?

- What do you prefer? :

talking  or reacting aggressively  , dialogue or silence, good words or bad words, hate or love, war or peace. YOU CHOOSE!

CONCLUSIONS

Finally, we decided to sump up all our  reflections in four important conclusions. Have a look!

CHATTING!!!

All of us agreed that a good way to solve problems is talking about them. So we decided to have a new experience in our project: Chatting !. it was an amazing fact , we could greet each other and give our opinions about different hard situations that sometimes occur in the class between us.

Writing 'The adventure of impolite bear' was actually a great adventure for us. Polish and Catalan students were writing it in turns: one part by one. Each part could contain up to 60 words so sometimes continuig the story was a real challenge. We also added the dictionary and illustrations. We hope you will enjoy reading it and think about Timmy's behaviour.

What is more we decided to prepare each other a surprise - that was a gift sent via post. It was wonderful experience when we opened the parcel from our partner and saw a beautiful bear toy, a letter and of course 'gold rules in the class'.

The adventures of impolite bear

Once upon a time there was a small bear who lived in a wooden house. He didn’t like anybody. He preferred to stay at home or walk alone in the forest. He didn’t play with other animals and was irritated seeing smiling deer and running funny hares. One day he woke up and heard somebody knocking at the door.

He got up and went to open the door. He could see a wizard in front of him.

- Who are you? What's the matter? - asked the bear angrily.

- I am the wizard of the forest and I would like to show you how to be a friendly bear.

Meanwhile a panda bear, a group of hares and deer were spying from behind a tree.

Timmy - it was the bear's real name - wanted to show the wizard his improvement. He went to hares and started to play with them. The wizard thought that Timmy changed his behavior so he left them soon. From that moment Timmy started to play stupid tricks to the animals. First he hid their ball in the bushes, then

He threw pines and corns to the animals and  he also said bad words to all of them. At night he walked around the forest near the animals houses and he made loud noises to wake up them. The animals got very angry and they decided to

talk to him.

-Why are you shouting so loud? - asked an old owl - We cannot sleep.

-I can do what I want - replied Timmy.

-Go away and let us sleep - asked a squirrel.

-Ha! Ha! I am the most important animal in the forest and you all have to listen to me.

- Let's organize a meeting tomorrow morning at the big tree in the forest- said the squirrel.

- And we will wait for you Timmy- said the owl.

In the morning all the animals shouted loudly ‘wizard, wizard, wizard’ for three times and the wizard appeared to lead the meeting.

- All of us know that things are going wrong here. How can we solve the situation?

meeting: spotkanie: reunió

appear : pojawić się: aparèixer

The bear noticed that all the animals looked at him. 'What a stupid meeting is going to take place" - he thought.

- Timmy, you believe that you are the most important animal in the forest, but  who is the most intelligent one?

- The owl! - all the animals replied.

- Who is the fastest animal here?

- The hares! - said all of them and they went on with all the best of each one.

Timmy started to think about himself...

In the meanwhile animals noticed that the bear disappeared. It was getting darker and darker when they started to worry about him.

-I think we should look for our Timmy - suggested the owl.

They went to Timmy's house and it was empty, he was not in the forest.

Meanwhile Timmy was thinking about all the things that had happened with his friends and he recognized that he had been very rude with them and on the other side all the animals wanted to help him.

Suddenly Timmy decided to do something.

It was so difficult to admit that he was wrong. Timmy became very sad and started crying.

- Don't cry - said the owl.

He turned around and saw that all the animals came to him.

- You are so good for me - he replied - I'm so sorry.

The bear learnt that he should be friendly with the animals because everyone can live happier and better having friends than living alone.

- Congratulations Timmy!, shouted the wizard.

Hooray! cried all the animals, we are living in peace again.
