The recipe

Here is how we prepared the dish



We soaked the peas in a big bowl.




First, we cooked the peas.


We also cooked the pearl barley.



 We fried chopped bacon together with chopped sausages, onion and garlic crushed with salt.


After the peas and barley were cooked, we drained them.


Then we mixed the cooked pearl barley with the fried bacon, onion and garlic.


The next step was to combine the barley mixture and the peas. And to season it to taste with salt and pepper. And the Swedish spices.


We put everything into a big baking tray and


cooked it in a fan-forced oven (convectomat).



 In the meantime we fried the sausages.


 And here is the result.
