Our ingredients for France

We sent the parcel to France on Friday 26 February. It contained these three things:

 

 

Plum preserve - homemade (prepared by cooking for very long time) - typically used in sweet dishes, but you can also prepare a delicious sauce with it

 

 

 

 

 

Marjoram - a must for some soups and goulash

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pickled dill - quite popular although fresh or frozen dill is much better of course. However one advantage is you can use it any time of the year and don't have to have a garden or a freezer :-) We often use dill in sauces and soups together with milk or cream.
