| Pek arrives at Targu-Jiu, in Gorj, Romania, on the back of a dog whose owner – a child – visits his grandparents. The child admires the town's beauty and two important sculptures made by the greatest sculptor Constantin Brancusi: the Kissing Gate and the Endless Column. Pek is also impressed by these monuments, but being hungry he irritates and bites the child.
