SUMMARY: The project aims at developing sustainable healthy lifestyle and various skills and competences (communicative, language, ICT, learning to learn, cultural awareness and expression, intercultural competences, sense of initiative, ability to manage information, metakognitiv ability). Pupils will learn about healthy lifestyle, their own and other cultures, improve their English, raise interest in other foreign languages, meet people from other cultures, share their knowledge/experience with other participants. Being aware that they represent a European country, their own culture and also European community and its diversity will result in their better self-esteem and have a positive effect on awareness of importance of living in a healthy way and being interculturally competent as well as putting theory into practice. Parents, members of local communities and various organizations will take part in the project, too. Teachers will get to know other school systems, exchange experiences, examples of good practise, teaching methods/materials which will represent an important step in their professional development. They will develop skills in managing projects, communication, planning different activities; acquire further knowledge concerning relevant topics; deepen their relationships with colleagues/pupils /parents/members of local community. The project reduces the risk of rejecting the European values by young people and members of the community through collaboration among European countries. It offers a chance to increase the role of community in schools' lives, developing collaboration relationships and future initiatives. A sustainable action plan for achiving sustainable changes and developement concerning the relevant topics will be produced by all partner schools. Children pages 1835 Views |
