 Here a video of the COMENIUS DAY in Leonardo da Vinci school in Paris 2013 May, 28thth showing pupils from Kindegarden to 5th grade working together to build a city. 

1st step: class debate about the city topics

2nd step:each class build a part of a common city 

3rd step:pupils and parents have a final look at the end of the day! what a wonderful city and work we did! what a nice and special day we spent!

 Architects from 3rd grade school invent in a cooperative team work they own houses with different material related to an immaginary envirroment during a workshop in the City1Architecture Museum. Here two  links of the pictures taken last week.

here some pictures during our workshop in the Museum of the City & Architecture in the Trocadero, Paris. We visited the Museum learning very much about how materials to build houses in the city has changed in the past in function of the technology . It also depends on the envirroment!

So we created in groups our own houses in an specific enviromment with different materials!

Workshop for pupils in the exposition is about 'how to create a street art-Graffiti on the city wall'. The PArisian municipality allows it on several walls.

This is the photo album made by pupils in class 3 A at Iqbal Masih. They went around their neighborhood and in the city centre taking pictures. They also wrote some texts and Giacomo made a video to explain how to drink at " Nasoni" fountains. ( those who were at the Safari in Rome can remember this typical public fountain!) The aqueduct in the photos runs near the school.

 Here some pictures from 3rd grade Leonardo da Vinci school exploring Paris searching Dinosaures! Children visited the exposition DINOSAURES ...A BIG LIFE and became paleontologues excavating for fossils and........WE FOUND THEM!!!

 Our interview to the local Bank Manager

On Friday May the 17th we went to the local branch of an BNL Bank where we met the bank Manager. We interviewed him and he was very kind and willing to help us.

 

These were our questions:

 

Q. How many hours do you work for, daily?

A. We work eight hours daily

Q. What does the bank manager do in the bank?

A. The bank manager controls whatever goes on, directing the activities, but most of all he makes sure that the customers are satisfied with th bank’s services

Q. How many years have you studied for?

A. I have studied up to the age of 24

Q. What is a mortgage?

A. A mortgage is money that th bank lends to its customers when they need to buy a house

Q. Do you all do what you like?

A. No, there are rules that must be respected

Q. When something breaks in the bank, do you take the people’s money toh ave it repaired?

A. No, we don’t take the client’ money, we use the money owned by the bank

Q. How many kinds of mortgages are there?

A. There are two kinds of mortgages, one called generational and a simple one. But in Italy there only is the simple one as yet.

Q. Is your job a difficult one?

A. The difficulty lies in doing it at its best

Q. The money given to the bank are then used by you for your own interests?

A. No, we do not use them for out own interests but we handle them to make them yeald dividends

 

Q. Are there many people who entrust you with their money?

A. Yes, there are many
Q. How do you earn money?
A. By means of the bank interests
Q. Do you like your job?
A. Yes, I like my job
Q. Do you change the banknotes when they get too old?
A. Yes, we do change them, every three years
Q. Is there a limit to the highest sum one can deposit into the bank?
A. No, there is no limit to the deposits
Q. Can you donate money?
A. No, we can’t donate money
Q. How many times have you been robbed?
A. Only once
Q. What is it what we call bancomat?
A. It is a plastic card which allows people to withdraw their money at any time of the night and the day using a withdrawing point set outside the bank branch
Q. In the safe is money left all in a big heap?
A. No, money is kept in bundles of different values
Q. What is an insurance?
A. The insurance is someone who pays in your place when you’ve done something wrong
Q. How long have you been working in a bank for?
A. I have been working in a bank for twenty years
Q. What is your name?
A. My name is Maurizio Fontanella
Q. If the bancomat doesn’t work is the bank having trouble because of it?
A. No, we don’t have to repay for what is going wrong. We do repair it when it doesn’t work properly and we refill it with money when it is empty
Q. Did you know about this job?
A. Yes, because my dad used to do the same job
Q. Is the bank surveyed?
A. Yes it is under surveillance by an armed guard and an alarm system
Q. How long have you been working in this branch?

 

A. I have been working here for six months
