Greeny on tour for the environment
A Comenius project published on TwinSpace

This project is about protecting the environment with an emphasis on how local decisions can have global effects. We work together to plan and carry out a variety of fun and stimulating learning opportunities with the children to stimulate thoughts about local decisions having global implications.

The link is a little bird “Greeny”, who “flies” over Europe and “reports” back via the dedicated website about partner countries efforts.

Through a variety of carefully planned activities, children discover how other countries are actively tackling pressing environmental issues such as recycling, renewable energy supplies and sustainable food sources. The activities will also heighten their awareness of the threats to our environment.

Results of the project work are published over two years on this eTwinning website. Exhibitions in school and in public places (e.g. library) will also inform outsiders about project work and results.
