'Europe Mix' .. in one glance

 PROJECT   Content

Together we will contribute to creating better common goals and positive human values that coincide as European citizens. 
The aim of this project is through communication and collaboration of students and teachers from European schools with different cultural, religious, social and ethnic backgrounds to work on breaking stereotypes in thinking and overcoming prejudices.

To achieve this we will develop variety and fun educative common activities such as, music, dance, art, sports, traditions, etc., to start showing our partners and the countries involved in this project our own identity (culture, education, customs, habits, concerns, priorities and problems).We will implement a permanent contact among the partners through e-mails exchange, ppt files,video, photo albums, exhibitions of student works, video conferencing; using the opportunities which provide modern ICT

To create interactive spaces such as e-Twinning Project, dropbox, wiki pages, gmail accounts, videoconferences ... to share, compare and learn from each other about our experiences.
Work on the project, on the one hand, improve relations between students of different ethnocities and associate them to children with special educational needs, on the other – will contribute to building meaningful relationships between teachers and students and increase their commitment to the school life.
To disseminate this project in the city we live through all the media:TV, newspapers and internet. To share with as many people and to motivate teachers and students from other schools.
As a final outcome, a lip dub video, online game, e-book, handwriting book, dance and music DVDs will be prepared.
We aim to involve all the pupils of our school, giving them equal educational opportunities, especially pupils with special needs.

This project will strengthen the understanding of our students to respect and protect human rights, it will develop attitudes that constitute morality, and prepare them for incorporation into social life - arousing tolerance in the face of ethnic, religious, social differences. Nowadays in our societies we need to focus student's attention on the problem of elderly people. We show our students the importance of learning languages to be able to communicate with people from different countries. Our goal is to help students understand other people and their cultures are not opponents, they are our neighbors in a global community with positive common goals. We believe that collaborative efforts will help us learn more about other cultures and learn about teaching practices. We also hope that the union will increase the enthusiasm and motivation of the child / as in both countries equally, and will be reflected in the curriculum. We also want to encourage the use of ICT both for children / as well as of parents. The project will enable the expansion of horizons through European cooperation fostering friendship between teachers and students from these partner schools.

All participating schools believe that in a rapidly changing and challenging young people need to discover positive values that can guide their actions and helps them communicate with others.
We need this project because our schools are situated in specific areas from cultural and social point of view. In spite of the fact we live in quite separated environments, we are not isolated from the common social problems of today. That is why we really want to show our students that distinction doesn't make them worse.

Points agreed at CYPRUS 1rst meeting

- Mobilities: Pupils mobilities are only going to be done between Poland, Croatia , Bulgaria. France is agree to receive pupils in March , 6 pupils from Poland , Croatia and Bulgaria.
City and Country in our Wiki: we change page-name into our Region: We are allowed to put a slide or a movie built by our pupils , one of our city and our country made by our pupils, in order to get to know each others.
* Remember all the video has to be 450 width x 315 height size. 
Our Blog : Anna is going to write a link in our wikispace to our blog. In this blog we are going to upload interesting activities happen in our schools.
Video conferences: They are going to be left after the second visit, France visit.
Logo: The final logo will be the logo made by Cyrpus. We are going to post our school winner logo in our blog.
Next two meeting dates: 
France : 6th to 10th March
Slovakia: 22nd to 26th May

Evaluation: Each partner has to upload their ACTIVITY 1, evaluation in the dropbox folder.
Andreas is going to send us the pupils’ questionary , we have to send the percentage result before Christmas.
International food break: In each meeting we are going to share some food or drink from our countries.
E-twinning space: you are going to receive an invitation to our e-twinning project, please sign in. For the time being, we only link this project to our wikispace.

-  ACTIVITY 2   :  Online game
1) Each country will send 5 questions, these will be asked by pupils by a brainstorming activity, choosing the most interesting five questions. Deadline 14th December.
2) Olga will send to the coordinators the whole list of questions and partners will have a week to send her the suggestions about important questions that must be included in the list.
3) 7th January I will send you the whole list and the work to be done to answer the questions.
4) Each country will have two weeks to send the answers of its country. Deadline to send the answers will be 25th January.
5) Coordinator will have two week to built the game. I will upload the questions and answers in our dropbox , in order everybody wants to create other game in other platform, so we could choose the best one. The game has to be finished on 15th February.
6) The game will have two levels or more of difficulty.
7) Our pupils will have two weeks to play the game before our meeting in France.

Points agreed in France2nd meeting:

 

Planning Activity 3 ..      Euro Museums

·         Pupils with their teachers visit a local museum

·         Students do an interview of a famous person related with the museum visit

- 5 minutes length maximum

- Upload to youtube and link in the Word document

·         Students prepare a Word presentation (doc) about their visit in the museum. With  a short introduction about the museum (what is about, where is it, when it was opened...)

- Less than 10 photos (not very heavy) with caption

- 5 pages maximum

- Send to Marisa (Portugal) , deadline 2nd May

·         Portuguese partners create the ebook with the partners information sent and embed it in our wikipage. Deadline 17th May.

·         Activity 3 evaluation 20th May

·         If anybody have other visits, they will be posted    in our blog.

 

 

 

- Videoconference   Planification

 

            -     Each partner must do at less two videoconferences during the project.

-        They will be arranged in our gmail calendar or directly with the partner.

-        It will be planned by the partners (level, topics...)

-        They could be by Skipe or any other platform

-        Videoconferences will be recorded with short videos and photos which will be posted in our wiki.

 

Evaluation on the progress of activity 2   (Time to play)

 

-        We postpone the evaluation to the next meeting since we have not had enough time to play the game.

-        We are very satisfied with the game and the level of learning in this activity.
