Peace is...
(by class 3°A, 1° Circolo Didattico "S. Giovanni Bosco", IT)

To care about your parents is a power,
Like touching a flower.
To have love for companies,
Begins by being friendly as babies.
To give hugs to the people who are in needs,
And respecting the beauty of nature by your feet’s.
Give a kiss for a grandfather passing by,
While looking at the rainbow in the sky.
Be kind to the fellow beings by their bone,
And make sure to join in company the one who are alone.
Cheer the people, who are sad,
And give some happiness to the people who feel bad.

The recipe on how to make peace in the world
(by class IV A, 1° Circolo Didattico "S. Giovanni Bosco", IT)

Ingredients:

A lot of happiness
A handful of solidarity
A cup of friendliness
A tiny bit of kindness
Two spoons of respect and love
At last it’s necessary to add a lot of beauty to life

 How to do:

Begin by mixing the following ingredients together; happiness, friendliness and solidarity. Stir them together in a bowl till the dough is delicious. Don’t forget to add kindness, beauty of life, respect and love enough for everyone. Mix these ingredients into the dough. When you have mixed it all together, you are ready to put it into your heart and spread the message about peace in the world.
This recipe for peace makes servings for the whole world!

I dream of...
(by class IV B, 1° Circolo Didattico "S. Giovanni Bosco", IT)

I dream of a world in peace!
A world where there is no war – only love,
To bring that message is a dove.

I dream of seeing children play,
Hand in hand, they lay.
I dream of seeing a blue sky,
Friendly clouds are passing by.

Rains with hearts and a flower,
Ends with a smile of power.
I dream of seeing a dove flying up high,
Leaving a beautiful rainbow behind.

In this world I dream of living,
Help me with that and don’t destroy my dreams made of hope and giving!

What is peace?
(by class IV D, 1° Circolo Didattico "S. Giovanni Bosco", IT)

A friend once asked me what peace is…
To explain it to him, I simply said:

Be friendly to one another
And shake hands to with the people you meet

I told him to help people who are in problems
And join the lonely people in company

It's also Important to respect others things
And lend people what they need

To comfort others when they are sad
And of course I told him that being violent isn't peace

At last I drew a rainbow of a thousand colors with him
And then my friend understood what peace is all about.

Wir

Wir
von Irmela Brender

Ich bin ich und du bist du.
Wenn ich rede, hörst du zu.
Wenn du sprichst, dann bin ich still,
weil ich dich verstehen will.
Wenn du fällst, helf' ich dir auf,
und du fängst mich, wenn ich lauf.
Wenn du kickst, steh ich im Tor,
pfeif ich Angriff, schießt du vor.
Spielst du pong, dann spiel ich ping,
und du trommelst, wenn ich sing.

Allein kann keiner diese Sachen,
zusammen können wir viel machen.
Ich mit dir und du mit mir -
das sind wir.

We
by Irmela Brender

I am I and you are you.
When you speak I listen to you.
When you speak I am all alert,
Because I want to understand every word.
When you fall down I help you up,
And when I run you catch me with a hug.
When you kick the ball I am in the goal
When I say “attack” you hit the pole.
When you play “pong” then I play “ping”,
And you play the drums when I want to sing.

All by himself nobody can do all these things,
Together, however, we are fit for the kings.
Me with you and you with me –
That is we.

Friede
von Josef Reding

„Bloß keinen Zank und keinen Streit!“
Das heißt auf englisch ganz einfach
PEACE

und auf französisch
PAIX

und auf russisch
MIR

und auf hebräisch
SHALOM

und auf deutsch
FRIEDE

Oder:
Du komm, lass uns
zusammen spielen,
zusammen sprechen,
zusammen singen,
zusammen essen,
zusammen trinken
und zusammen leben,

DAMIT WIR LEBEN.

Peace
by Josef Reding

“No trouble and strife, please!”
In English that’s simply
PEACE

and in French
PAIX

and in Russian
MIR

and in Hebrew
SHALOM

and in German
FRIEDE

Or:
Hey, come on,
let’s play together,
let’s talk together,
let’s sing together
let’s eat together,
let’s drink together,
let’s live together,

SO THAT WE ACTUALLY LIVE!

La paix est plus que pas de guerre

Peace is more than just no war

If you believe
that a smile is stronger than a weapon,
If you believe
in the power of an extended hand,
If you believe
that things which unite men are more important than those which separate,
If you believe
That being different is a gain and not a threat,
If you can manage
to look at others with love,
If you can manage
to take confidence and hope more seriously than suspicion,

Then peace will come!
