I've read it through. There is plenty to work on. I would like to add, if possible, a link to the intercultural activities within each school.
Example: an idea is growing in some colleagues' minds on having an Iqbal school bag (a real one) going around the school full with Pakistani material: a book, a dress, a real drawing coming from there and so on.
The school bag would have to be filled and looked into at the same time, by all the children involved. The aim is to make a clear and effective liaison between our ways of living (european) and the actual situation in Pakistan.
Nothing to do with cities? I believe children should be aware of the huge difference in opportunities, right from their start in school.

All that is really great!

To work on the items:
- after an historical / geographical face of the project
- representation's of the pupills / the representations "of the other"
- the relationship between the real city and the ideal city

I was thinking about this:

1. The pupill of the city A take several photos of the city of the pupill of the city B (in a context of partnership) and conversely.

> link: what do I see from my windows & when I go across the city

2. The pupill of the city A a selection of photos to the pupill of the city A conversely.

3. Each pupill writes a text (ex: a poem) watching the photos of his partner
> poetic / ideal aspect of the city

4. Finally, we could make a little "presentation" in which the pupills say their textes, with a slide show...

To be continued...

I uploaded as an attachment a doc called tasks based on Paolas' work and Tarjas' organisation. I added things, put activities in other places (tasks). I made a major change in task 3 (Me and My City) and I also chanded slightly the order of tasks. I put the text here as well:

• The history of my town
• Old people tell the story of the city (grandfathers or grandmothers of the students or others from the neighborhood) tell stories about what the city was when they where young or bring photos or teach and play together with the children old/traditional games or sing songs etc.) * 2012 is the “European Year of Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations”, a chance for us. It might give our project some extra points if we add an activity where we could give older people the opportunity to share their experience and to keep playing an active role in the community, maintaining solidarity between generations in societies. But we have to mention somewhere that we do it on purpose.
• Where the streets have names: history in the streets. (What’s behind streets’ naming?)

Dear all,

Great work in dividing all the activities so well!
As far as I know, the Comenius project are financed in a good purpose : to enable teachers and children all around Europe to meet and work together...so it is very important to establish for all the meetings some common outcomes/ products like videos, puzzles, mascot, logo, albums, models , plays, posters, banner, dictionaries, books (history , legends etc.). We can have a BIG DISPLAY (an exhibition ) in every meeting with products created till the moment of the meeting in every school (common tasks) and create another ones together - children and teachers enjoying and exchanging ideas and experience of course.
Also the dissemination is very important so we can use a broshure or a newsletter after each meeting ... what do you think?
