Middle class neighbourhood located north-east of Madrid, close to Madrid-Barajas international airport. Very few immigrants. A number of about 18 students with special needs. English is taught from 3.

We count with an ICT teacher who dedicates a short number of hours to keep the equipment properly running. We have three computer labs and close to 20 digital boards in the classrooms. We intend to cover all clases within the next couple of years.

The school is situated in the centre of Egaleo a densely populated area of Athens. Its intake is almost children from low social-economic background. Immigrant children are about 17% of the school population. Children with SEN are about 6%, supported by an inclusion class where they study in a part time basis with a specialist teacher. Not much involvement of families. Active methodology (programmes, workshops, outdoor activities). English is taught from first class.

Lessons start 11 September, end 15 June. Christmas holidays from 22 December till 7 January, Easter: 2 weeks (one week before and one week after orthodox Easter).
Hosting a meeting is possible and desirable.
Travelling is easier from late October till May or during holidays. It’s nearly impossible to be away in the beginning or in the end of the school year.

ICT lab is not so up to date but it works.Videoconference is possible. Some of the teachers are familiar with ICT and speak English, while others are not very confident about their computer and English language skills.
We are going for a total of 12 mobilities. We do not intent to move groups of children, but occasionally 2-3 children mobilities would be possible. Groups of children from other partner schools are welcome to visit our school  but we cannot ensure their accommodation in host families.

Other activities:
Theaters; museums; educational-environmental-citizenship projects; exploring the neighborhood and the city;
Possible collaboration with the Centre of Environmental Education of Drapetsona (Port of Pireas) and with The Greek Ornithological Society.

School is situated in suburbs of Belfast.  Pupils come from varied socio-economic grouping. 20% of pupils on special needs register, 6% from ethnic minorities. School puts a lot of emphasis on providing pupils with a varied curriculum, an important part of which is the international dimension where we give the pupils the opportunity to study different cultures and lifestyles of our European friends.  

School starts 1st September and finishes last day of June.

We have applied for 12 mobilites which we intend using on staff visits.  All pupils will be involved in the project but within school.

 No specific partnerships but opportunities to link with various local places of interest.

> a class of 1st secondary, speaking french, and englich as L2: 3 teachers (maths, story / geography, french L1 > me)

> a portugese class, of the 2th secondarye: 3 profs (maths, ICT, human sciences, portugese): the pupills are 12 years old

and another class of the 2d secondary: 3 profs (maths, sciences, german)

and other collegues are engaged in the project, but not yet with a all team
- a spanish teacher of mathematic (2th. secondary)
- a english teacher of ... english!
- a swedan teacher of art: he will work with a mixed group, international, englich and rench speaking

Travelling is always possible from a Thursday to a Sunday or Monday. It's easier in April-May.
