Instructions on how to make your video.



- You have to shoot a short video about the way we live.

 -   Between 3 and 5 minutes long in your native language.

-  Make groups of 3. Mixed groups. One ICT expert in each team. One person with access to video camera. Possible groups:

-       This activity is compulsory for the exchange students. The rest of students in 3º C and D can also take part making groups of 4 and choosing another of the topics and following the same instructions and deadlines.

-       Be very simple in the structure of your video.

-       Start writing ideas about how your video should be.

-       Say simple sentences, use very easy vocabulary, articulate and speak very slowly so the students in the other school understand you.

-       Don’t move the camera, smile and be friendly in front of the camera. Try to sound natural.

-       Give each group member a different task.

-       Involve your family in your video to help you.

-       Get some computer expert to help you.

-       Edit your video with titles and music if you can.

-       Hand it to your teacher.

-       Upload it to etwinning.

-       Programmes for editing video: Pinnacle and most computer and laptops may have a program.

-       To have an idea about how you should make your videos, let see some examples from Burlington Books videos. Homes, Recycling, Food, Schools, Free time, Friends, The neighbourhood, Effort 3 (about to make a video), The project.

-       Get a video camera, a tripod, a computer, editing software). Borrow a camera from friends, school, library, etc. Try your photo cameras and mobile phones to see how they are.



-       From the 28th November to 2nd December: Making groups, choosing video topics, giving instructions, watching Burlington videos.

-       9th December: Handling in videos scripts.

-       21st December: Handling in videos.

-       End of December: Teachers from each school will watch and mark their students’ videos.

-       Until the 16th January: Students upload their videos to the twinspace.

-       From 16th January: Teachers use the other school videos. They will watch the other school videos. They will choose the most suitable videos for their use in the foreign language class. They will prepare a worksheet for their classes.

-       From 16th January: Students use the other school videos. They choose one video each from the other school and explain and comment in class the similarities and differences of the aspect of the culture of the other country.

-       13th February: Watching videos together and School performances about the videos during the Exchange meetings. 13th February: de 1º a 3ª horas (1ºh: 3º C Fy Q, 3º D Inglés), (2ª h: 3º C y D: E.F.) (3ºh: 3º C: inglés, 3ºD: lengua (Marina).

-       Leeds meeting June: There will be performances of the videos topics in the first and second language according to the students’ abilities. The performances will be mixing students from the two schools.
