Room on the broom ‘Room on the broom’ by Julia Donaldson tells the story about a witch flying on her broomstick. She keeps loosing different things, her magic wand, her bow. Luckily, she meets very king animals on her way and they help her to find the lost objects. She is grateful and when they ask if there is room on the broom for them, she takes them with her. Unfortunately the broom is not strong enough to carry all of them and it breaks. They all land in the mud. Suddenly a bad dragon arrives and wants to eat the witch. She is terrified but help is coming. All the animals covered with mud look very scary and the dragon runs away. Together they construct a new broom with room for all of them. We enjoyed the week with witches in our room. Children made magic wands, brooms and hats. All of them were very creative. They used selection of materials. In the home corner we had a witches’ kitchen where children were cooking insect stew. It was a very popular place. Children wore witches’ costumes and revisited the area very often. Children used the costumes as well as their own hats, brooms and magic wands in free play. We organised also a treasure hunt in the garden. Children were looking for the witches’ lost items. Children put costumes on, hand made hats and magic wands and went to the garden. Na szczescie spotyka bardzo zyczliwe zwierzeta na swojej drodze, ktore pomagaja jej wszystko znalezc. W zamian pytaja czy znalazloby sie miejsce dla nich na jej miotle. Czarownica z wdziecznosci zabiera wszystkich. Niestety, miotla jest za slaba i peka. Wszyscy laduja w blocie. Tu pojawia sie straszny smok, ktory chce zjesc czarownice. Czarownica bardzo sie boi, ale szybko pojawia sie pomoc. Zwierzeta cale w blocie wygladaja bardzo przerazajaco i sprawiaja, ze smok ucieka. Razem buduja nowa miotle, na ktorej jest wystarczajaco duzo miejsca dla wszystkich. Bardzo podobal nam sie tydzien z czarownicami w naszej sali. Dzieci tworzyly czapki, miotly i magiczne rozdzki. Wszystkie byly bardzo kreatywne, uzywaly rozne materially i techniki. W kaciku domowym mielismy kuchnie czarownicy, gdzie dzieci gotowaly gulasz z owadow. Kuchnia byla bardzo popularna i dzieci w przebraniach czarownic bardzo czesto tu wracaly. Zorganizowalismy poszukiwanie skarbow w ogrodzie. Szukalismy przedniotow zgubionych przez czarownice. Dzieci przebraly sie w stroje czarownic, zalozyly zrobione przez siebie czapki, wziely miotly i rozdzki i ruszyly na poszukiwanie. Wszystko zostalo znalezione bardzo szybko.	0	0
